摘  要:为了向读者介绍并推广友人戴望舒即将出版的中译版法国中世纪传奇故事《屋卡珊和尼各莱特》,施蛰存先行发表了《中世纪的行吟诗人》一文,力图破除当时对欧洲中世纪文学固有的偏见。通过塑造“行吟诗人”这一具有代表性的人物形象,他呼吁读者对中世纪文学进行美的想象。本文通过梳理施蛰存本人的文字记录,将其与当时通行的《屋卡珊和尼各莱特》现代法文、英文译本进行比较,寻找其知识来源,探究施蛰存对欧洲中世纪文学的接受。从中可以发现,施蛰存在文中展现出的阅读兴趣和文学审美受到了浪漫主义文学批评提出的“复古主义”(antiquarianism)的影响。Hoping to introduce and popularize his friend Dai Wangshu’s forthcoming Chinese translation of the medieval French romance Aucassin and Nicolette(Aucassin et Nicolette),Shi Zhecun published his article“Troubadours in the Middle Ages”to fight the prejudices of the time against medieval European literature.By creating the representative image of the“troubadour,”Shi Zhecun appealed to readers to immerse themselves in the reverie of the beauty of medieval literature.This paper aims to search for the sources of Shi Zhecun’s literary knowledge and to examine his reception of medieval European literature,by combing through Shi’s own written records and comparing them with several modern French and English translations of Aucassin and Nicolette in circulation at the time.It can be noted that Shi Zhecun’s reading interest and literary preference demonstrated in this article are influenced by the idea of antiquarianism proposed by Romantic literary criticism.
