摘　　要：2024年1月,“外语教育学”被正式增列为研究生教育二级学科,为外语专业的发展注入了新的活力。本文借蔡基刚教授一文发表为契机,进一步厘清外语教育学的学科归属、培养目标及社会需求问题。本文指出,外语教育学应属于语言学,而非教育学。外语教育学的核心培养目标是理论与实践兼备的研究型外语教师队伍。外语教育学的课程体系应以培养高质量外语教育人才为出发点,既体现出外语教育人才培养的共性,又体现出校本特色。In January 2024,Foreign Language Education Studies(FLES)was officially added as an independent discipline for graduate education,injecting new vitality into the development of foreign language education in China.This article,taking Professor Cai Jigang's work as a reference,further delineates the disciplinary affiliation,educational objectives,and social demands of FLES.It is pointed out that FLES,as a secondary discipline,should belong to linguistics rather than education studies.Its core educational objective is to cultivate research-oriented foreign language teachers with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.The curriculum should be based on the cultivation of high-quality talents in foreign language education,reflecting both the commonality and school-based characteristics of talent cultivation.
