摘　　要：杜定友先生作为中国近代图书馆事业的先驱,其在图书馆领域的卓越贡献与所展现出的图书馆精神内涵,具有深远的历史意义和现实启示。文章以西安交通大学档案馆所珍藏的1930至1936年间图书馆馆务会议记录等档案资料为据,深入梳理了他在交通大学图书馆任职期间于馆务行政管理方面的实践举措,剖析了他在图书馆管理、人才培养、服务创新等方面的贡献成就。史料折射出杜定友先生对图书馆事业执着奉献的精神,彰显出其在学术研究、人才培养、读者至上等图书馆精神理念方面的前瞻性思考。This article aims to investigate Mr.Du Dingyou's outstanding contributions to the library development and his ethical values demonstrated as a pioneer of China's modern librarianship.As an educator and librarian,Mr.Du demonstrated professional ethical values and made innovative contributions to the modern librarianship,however,there is little research on his administrative management and innovative services during his tenures at Jiaotong University Library.The objective of the article is to present a full picture of Mr.Du's administrative management practices and specific achievements in Jiaotong University Library during the tenures from 1925 to 1927 and 1929 to 1936.The article adopted the documentary research method to conduct text research on archival materials preserved in the Archives of Xi'an Jiaotong University including the 32 records of Library Committee meetings from 1930 to 1936,the annual reports of the Jiaotong University Library from 1931 to 1932 and 1934,the statistical reports of library from 1931 to 1936.With analysis and compilation,it presented a detailed and comprehensive review of Mr.Du's administrative endeavors during his tenures.The study reveals that Mr.Du exhibited exceptional leadership and innovative ethical values in library management.The major contributions are as followed:(1)To carry out three institutional reforms of library management system including convening Library Committee meetings regularly,compiling library annual reports,and collating library statistical reports to ensure the efficient operation and high-quality services of the library.(2)To make notable progress in collection development,cataloging and classification,book lending and circulation,systematic reforms and personnel training,leading the development of the library in a professional,scientific and academic route.The ethical values can be summarized as patriotism,devotion towards the university and the library,diligence in academic and research endeavors,professionalism in personnel training and the innovative
