摘  要:西方主流国际关系理论因“无政府状态恐惧症”而排斥差异,使其倾向于采取同化或者消灭的手段应对差异,这也使得国际关系理论研究难以做到“美人之美”。“美人之美”是认识差异的一种态度、处理差异的一种策略和与差异共处的愿景。国际关系理论的发展不仅需要“各美其美”的文化自觉,还需要“美人之美”的文明互鉴,进而实现“美美与共”。中国国际关系学者基于尊重学科差异、时代差异与文明差异而进行的有益尝试,这种构建全球国际关系学的努力为“美人之美”开辟了空间,而区域国别学的设立则为在理论层面推进和落实“美人之美”提供了机遇,这就需要区域国别学尊重学科差异、尊重地域差异、尊重文明差异。唯有如此,中国学者才能打造直面国际关系中诸差异的学理体系,进而为实现国际关系中的“美人之美”提供助力。Western International Relations tend to reject differences due to the fear of anarchy,which makes them tend to adopt assimilation or elimination to deal with differences,and it is difficult to appreciate difference in international studies."Appreciating difference"refers to an attitude towards understanding differences,a strategy for dealing with differences,and a vision for coexisting with differences.The development of international relations theory not only requires a cultural awareness of its own,but also needs appreciation of others,then the world will be a harmonious one.Chinese international relations scholars have made beneficial attempts based on respecting disciplinary differences,temporal differences,and cultural differences.The construction of global international relations of each civilization has opened up a space for appreciating the others,while the establishment of Area Studies provides opportunities for"appreciating difference"at the theoretical level,which requires regional studies to respect the differences in various levels.Only in this way can Chinese scholars build a theoretical system that can confront the various differences in international studies,and thus contribute to the appreciation of difference.
