He learned modeling from his predecessors and inspired the creation of important artists of later generations, such as Rembrandt and Goya, playing a key role in transition. He attached great importance to the objectivity of painting, which raised the awareness of life. On this basis and on the basis of his life experience, this article fully shows the origin, emergence and raising of Callot's awareness of life, and, through artwork analysis, explores how the awareness was demonstrated in paintings and how it was carried forward by artists of later generations, so as to analyze Callot's achievements and his role in transition in Baroque art and realistic art in the 17th Century.
