摘　　要：1.History and today Acupuncture and moxibustion is an important component of traditional Chinese medicine.According to statistics from the World Health Organization(WHO),113 WHO Member States have endorsed the application of acupuncture and moxibustion.Acupuncture and moxibustion has been the most widely used intervention of traditional and alternative medicine globally;thereby playing a pivotal role in enhancing the health of people worldwide.China,being the birthplace of acupuncture and moxibustion,as well as the country with the highest investment and output in acupuncture scientific research.The science and technology societies of acupuncture and moxibustion in China inherit the theory and practice of acupuncture and moxibustion,assemble the relevant findings from scientific researches,communicate and promote the practical technology,boost the understanding,exchange,and cooperation on acupuncture and moxibustion around the researchers around the world,serving the course of health for all.Being the earliest member,China Association of Acupuncture and Moxibustion(CAAM)plays a crucial role among science and technology societies of acupuncture and moxibustion in China.
