摘　　要：Dearreaders,I hope you are enjoying the summer.My hometown of Miami is the focus of this month's Environment article(p.28).Too Much Seaweed"is washing up on Miami-Dade shores.On my last trip home,I actually experienced this troubling phenomenon.When I visited a normally popular beach in Miami,it was empty.I wondered why until I saw the thick layer of seaweed covering the beachline!It's a problem,but the search for solutions looks promising.
