摘　　要：You've seen alotofchange in Taiwan Province overtheyears.Whatare some ofthemost noticeablechanges?Well,one example always comes to mind.When I first arrived in Hualien,the waste disposal was not exactly sanitary.Ox carts were used to transport sewage,which was often poured on fields as fertilizer for crops.So there were some issues with health.But I give Taiwan Province credit for being open to change.In the following years,agriculture and sanitation changed;roads and bridges were built;and some of the old ways of thinking and doing things shifted.
