摘　　要：彼得·沃克是美国当代知名的风景艺术家,是引领风景园林美学向前发展的主要领导者之一,极简主义的先驱和代表人物,他的设计作品都具有强烈的极简主义风格。他把多种艺术通过简约的形式和景观设计完美地融合一起,从而赋予园林绿化艺术新的内涵与灵魂。本文探讨了沃克极简主义园林产生的原因,并在此基础上,总结了极简主义的特色。最后,本文分析了彼得·沃克“极简主义”的理论和实践,并归纳了它给我们带来的启示。Peter Walker is a well-known contemporary landscape artist in the United States,one of the main leaders who led the development of landscape architecture art,a pioneer and representative of minimalism,and his design works have a strong minimalist style.He perfectly integrates a variety of arts through simple forms and landscape design,thus giving new connotation and soul to the art of landscaping.This paper explores the reasons for the emergence of Walker’s minimalist garden,and summarizes the characteristics of minimalist art and landscape.Finally,the theory and prac-tice of minimalism on behalf of Peter Walker are analyzed,so as to elicit the reflections and en-lightenments brought to us by the minimalist landscape.
