Dai Biaoyuan(戴表元),a renowned poet and literary figure from Eastern Zhejiang during the late Song and early Yuan Dynasties, left behind a collection titled Shan Yuan Ji(The Collection of Poems and Articles of Shanyuan). In the Ming Dynasty, during the Jiajing and Wanli reigns,Zhou Yi recompiled and Dai Xun printed a thirty-volume set of the Shan Yuan Ji,which featured the most extensive collection of Dai Biaoyuan's works and wielded significant influence. In the Qing Dynasty, scholars primarily focused on compiling and preserving works not included in the original collection.Notably,Miu Quansun's Shan Yuan Yi Gao(Scattered Manuscripts of Shanyuan)and Sun Qiang's Shan Yuan Yi Shi(Scattered Poems of Shanyuan)and Shan Yuan Yi Wen(Scattered Articles of Shanyuan)yielded the most substantial results in this endeavor.Furthermore, the Peking University Library's Okura Library houses a Qing manuscript titled Shan Yuan Shi Wen Bu(Supplement to the Collection of Poems and Articles of Shanyuan),originally part of Dong Kang's collection, which was later acquired by the Okura Cultural Foundation in Japan.Based on the book's taboo words,it can be inferred that the manuscript dates back to the Kangxi era, displaying distinct differences from later editions in both editing structure and textual content.A meticulous comparative analysis between this Shan Yuan Shi Ji Bu(Supplement to the Collection of Poems of Shanyuan)and Miu Quansun's Shan Yuan Yi Gao(Scattered Manuscripts of Shanyuan)will enhance the understanding of the bibliographic value of this rare manuscript and contribute to refining future editions of the Dai Biaoyuan Ji(The Collection of Poems and Articles of Dai Biaoyuan).
