摘　　要：四川巡抚始置于景泰年间,负责掌管本省的军民事务,处理辖区内的民族事务亦是其重要职责。在明朝中央的政策影响下,四川巡抚对各民族采取“恩威并施”的治理策略。具体的管理措施,主要包括制定禁约和加强军事设施建设等。还要处理如进贡日常事务和土司之间争地与争袭等纠纷事务。巡抚的管理虽然在一定程度上有利于区域社会以及民族关系的稳定,但由于民族政策的失误以及巡抚治理能力的参差不齐等,四川的民族事务管理也出现不少问题。During the Jingtai period,governors of Sichuan were in charge of military and civilian aff airs of the province,and it was also their important duty to deal with the ethnic aff airs within the jurisdiction.Under the infl uence of the Ming central policy,governors of Sichuan adopted the governance strategy of“carrot-stick policy”to all ethnic groups.Their specifi c management measures mainly include the formulation of prohibitions and strengthening the construction of military facilities.In the meanwhile,they had to deal with the daily aff airs of paying tribute and disputes between chiefdoms over land and attacks.Although the governor’s management is conducive to the stability of regional society and ethnic relations to a certain extent,many problems in the management of ethnic aff airs also appeared due to the mistakes of ethnic policies and the uneven governing ability of the governor.
