OBJECTIVE To assess skin disorders presenting during COVID-19 infection and to identify possible risk factors associated with them.METHODS Questionnaires were distributed and returned through the Easy-Expression Webpage to collect information on demographics, basic medical history, and history of COVID-19.RESULTS Of 1047 questionnaires,827 were included in the analysis.Sex,history of chronic diseases, and age were not associated with skin disease during COVID-19.In multivariable analysis, patients with a history of dermatologic disease were 3.998-times more likely to develop skin disease during COVID-19 infection than those without a history of dermatologic disease(OR=3.998,95%CI:2.234-7.157),those with a history of herpes were 4.434 times more likely to develop skin diseases(OR=4.434,95%CI 1.277-15.403),while subjects with a history of urticaria were 4.907 times more likely to develop skin diseases(OR=4.907,95%CI 2.755-8.740).A history of allergy was also a risk factor for skin disease during COVID-19 infection, with patients with allergic being 1.807 times more likely than those without a history of allergy to develop skin disease during infection(OR=1.807,95%CI:1.049~3.113).CONCLUSION A history of allergic and dermatologic disease were risk factors for the development of skin disease during infection with COVID-19,especially a history of urticaria and herpes, and attention should be paid to the possibility of skin disease during infection with SARS-CoV-2.
