摘　　要：乔治·桑德斯作为新真诚的代表人物之一,其以新自由主义为背景的小说内化了特里林的“真诚性悖论”,为我们揭露了“真诚”作为企业操纵和规训员工手段的功利主义的一面,倡导建构一种以自身为目的的新真诚观;同时,桑德斯将小说视为“平等者之间坦诚、亲密的对话”,强烈关注读者与文本间的联系,试图通过一种新的真诚的讽刺艺术抵抗弥漫在当代小说中的空洞化的讽刺性疏离。As one of the representatives of the New Sincerity,George Saunders internalizes Trilling's"para⁃dox of sincerity"in his fictions set against the backdrop of neoliberalism,exposes the utilitarian aspect of"sincer⁃ity"used by enterprises as a means to manipulate and discipline their employees,and advocates constructing a new view of sincerity for the sake of oneself.In addition,Saunders regards fictions as"a frank and intimate conversa⁃tion between equals",paying much attention to the connection between the reader and the text,in an attempt to resist through another kind of sincere satirical art the hollow ironic alienation that is pervading contemporary fictions.
