摘　　要：In January 2024,the Guidelines for Promoting the Beautiful China Initiative in All Respects clearly put forward the need for the environmental,social and governance(ESG)evaluation.This is the first time that ESG was written in a document of the central government.As one of the parallel sessions,the seminar on ESG standardization in the context of carbon peak and neutrality goals was held on May 22 to focus on policies and standards on ESG,strengthen technical communication,and contribute to the national strategy on carbon peak and neutrality.The event was moderated by Li Aixian,Vice President of China National Institute of Standardization(CNIS),and addressed by Tian Jun,Vice Mayor of Quzhou,and Zhao Xiangeng,Former Vice President and Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering(CAE).
