稗语益人心:论明清通俗小说“劝善教化”之功用--以章回小说《济公传》为例

摘　　要：《济公传》作为济公系列小说的集大成者,其“劝善”价值,足可以与经典名著比肩。该书作者高扬“劝善惩恶”的旗帜,以“正人心,化风俗”为要旨,以因果报应观念为全书之骨骼,寄“劝惩”于济公、善人、贞节烈妇等形象,以及神魔、侠义、公案、世情等多种类型题材之中,充分彰显了小说所具有的善书性质。而小说所具有的善书倾向,则是“文用为善”的传统观念与明清两代“劝善”时风合力作用的产物。As the culmination of the Ji Gong series of novels,The Biography of Ji Gonghas a value of " encouraging kindness" that can be compared to classic works.The author of this book holds high the banner of " persuading good and punishing evil" with the main theme of " rectifying people's hearts and transforming customs",and the concept of karma as the backbone of the entire book.It sends " persuasion and punishment" to the images of Ji Gong,virtuous people,chaste and martyred women,as well as various types of themes such as gods and demons,chivalry,public cases,and worldly affairs,fully demonstrating the good nature of the novel.The tendency of novels to be good books is a product of the traditional concept of " using literature for good" and the combined effect of the trend of " encouraging kindness" in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.
