摘　　要：临安城内的西北部有个兴庆坊,因为处在结缚桥对面的前洋街上,所以也被称为前洋街巷。这里是南宋最高学府——太学的所在地,民间因此又把兴庆坊称为太学巷。当年,名将韩世忠和岳飞的住宅都在坊里,后来官府在岳飞故宅的基础上修建了太学。这天一早,在头陀敲着木鱼、打着铁牌子沿街报晓之前,太学巷里就有人在收粪了。There were many types of idle people in the Song Dynasty.Besides those who accompanied their hosts as dining companions,there were those skilled at entertaining the young generation of wealthy families.Some were tasked with seeking pleasure for these wealthy young people,delivering messages,and handling miscellaneous matters.Others would go to pleasure boats,restaurants,and other banquet venues to pour wine and present incense to diners and tourists,earning tips for their services and so on.
