摘  要:1924—1937年间,九世班禅在内地活动达14年之久。他在内地活动的时期,是整个中国从传统向现代的过渡时期。在这个“现代化”进程中,九世班禅的活动也深受影响。他来到内地后,活动范围从西藏扩展到大半个中国,并将政治使命与宗教活动紧密结合起来,从而逐渐融入了民国时期的政治体系,个人实现了从地区政教领袖向现代化国家官员的转变。反之,他的活动对“现代化”又有积极意义。他在内地活动期间,由于其强烈的民族平等和民族团结意识,所以能积极地投身于促进民族团结的实践活动,推动了中华民族认同的形成与发展。因此,九世班禅在内地活动中,在完成自我升华的同时,亦对国家的现代化产生了积极的影响。From 1924 to 1937,the Ninth Panchen left Tashilhunpo to inner China,and stayed there 14 years.During this period,the whole of China was in transition from tradition to modernity.In this process of"modernization",the activities of the Ninth Panchen were also deeply influenced.After coming to the inner China,he expanded his activities from Xizang to most parts of China,and closely combined his political mission with his religious activities,thus gradually integrating himself into the political system of the Republic of China,and personally transforming himself from a regional political or religious leader to an official of a modernized state.On the other hand,his activities played a positive role in the"modernization".During this period,owing to his strong sense of ethnic equality and national unity,he was able to actively engage in practical activities to promote national unity as well as to facilitate the formation and development of the Chinese national identity.Therefore,throughout his inner China activities,the Ninth Panchen,while accomplishing his self-sublimation,also made a positive impact on the modernization of the country.
