摘　　要：林肯大道1111号是一个经过改造改变了其原有用途的框架结构。经过数年的运作,这座位于林肯大道西端的建筑成功地进行了经济转型,通过进一步的开发,在对现有建筑进行改造的同时还增加了一个包含商业零售的新建筑,并且在原太阳信托公司办公楼北面的空地上建起了一栋住宅楼。新建筑平衡了两个看似矛盾的目标。一方面,它需要一个强大和清晰的特征以吸引林肯大道上的行人。另一方面,新建筑是现有总体规划的扩建部分,它并没有与1111号停车场形成竞争的局面。1111 Lincoln Road was conceived as a framework for changing activities and uses.After several years of successful operation and the economic transformation of Lincoln Road's western terminus,it became feasible to further activate the development with a renovation of the existing project and an addition of a new building containing retail and residential units on the empty parcel to the north of the former Suntrust office building.The new building balances two seemingly contradictory objectives.On the one hand,it requires a strong and clear identity in order to attract pedestrian traffic from Lincoln Road.On the other,its architecture should extend the existing masterplan while not competing with the 1111 parking garage.
