摘 要:基于空间棱镜的表面等离子体共振(Surface plasmon resonance,SPR)传感系统可以通过改变入射角调节共振波长,但对于光纤SPR传感器实现这种调节方法很困难。因此,提出了一种基于侧面抛磨螺旋芯光纤(Helical-core fiber,HCF)的SPR传感器,HCF是通过扭转偏芯光纤而制成的。深入研究了包层回音廊模式(Whispering gallery modes,WGM)和纤芯基模两种SPR激发方法。结果显示,螺旋芯光纤SPR传感器的共振波长和灵敏度可通过改变HCF的螺距来有效的调节。螺距为1.40 mm的传感器在待测介质折射率为1.3330~1.3752时,平均灵敏度可以达5800 nm/RIU,使用更小螺距的HCF可进一步提高灵敏度。根据这些特性,可在同一根单芯HCF或者多芯HCF上使用不同螺距制备SPR传感阵列用于多参量测量,在化学和生化传感领域会有广泛应用。A method of adjusting the resonance wavelength by changing the incidence angle is provided by prism-based Surface plasmonic resonance(SPR)sensing systems,but it is difficult to achieve this adjustment method for optical fiber SPR sensors.Therefore,a SPR sensor based on side-polished helical-core fiber(HCF)is proposed.HCF is made by twisting the eccentric fiber.Two kinds of SPR excitation methods,cladding Whispering gallery modes(WGM)and fundamental mode of the core,are studied in detail.The results show that the resonance wavelength of the SPR sensor can be effectively adjusted by changing the pitch of the HCF.When the refractive index of the measured medium is 1.3330~1.3752,the average sensitivity of the sensor with a pitch of 1.40 mm can reach 5800 nm/RIU,and the sensitivity can be further improved by using a smaller pitch HCF.According to these characteristics,SPR sensor arrays can be prepared on the same HCF or multi-core HCF with different pitch for multi-parameter measurement,which will be widely used in chemical and biochemical sensing fields.
