摘　　要：埃塞俄比亚犹太人是以色列国内的一个特殊群体,他们是来自埃塞俄比亚的黑色皮肤的犹太人。数千年来他们生活于埃塞俄比亚的文化区域内,由于长期与主流犹太教与犹太人分离,该群体在文化体现上呈现出更多的埃塞俄比亚本土性——不遵守主流犹太教的律法习俗,不研读《塔木德》文书等。《咖啡与道德:埃塞俄比亚犹太人与五旬节教派的文化对抗》一书作者希曼以描写埃塞俄比亚犹太人饮用Buna咖啡的文化为基点,于多个相互联系的田野案例描写中引出核心话题:上瘾与规避的纠缠、宗教与政治交割、道德模式与个人实践的互动。向人们展示了一个个作为行动个体的人如何与道德、政治、宗教、文化进行“游戏”互动的过程,为我们呈现了一幅“逃避道德的艺术”的现实画卷。Ethiopian Jews are a specific group of black-skinned Jews from Ethiopia within Israel.For thousands of years they have lived in the Ethiopian cultural region and because of their long-term separation from mainstream Judaism and the Jewish people,the Ethiopian Jewish community has taken on a more indigenous Ethiopian character in their cultural manifestations—nonobservance of the Torah practices of mainstream Judaism,non-study of Talmudic texts,etc.Based the culture of Ethiopian Jew’s consumption of Buna coffee,the author of Coffee and Moral Order:Ethiopian Jews and Pentecostals against Culture,Don Seeman draws on interconnected field case studies to introduce central themes:the entanglement of addiction and avoidance,the intersection of religion and politics,and the interaction of ethical models and personal practices.It shows how individuals interact with morality,politics,religion,and culture in a“game”,presenting us with a realistic picture of the art of escaping from morality.
