摘　　要：20世纪80年代初,受中美建交悬置问题、美国制定《与台湾关系法》和美国选举政治等因素的冲击,中美关系发展并不顺利。面对美国对台军售问题的升温及其恶劣影响,邓小平在关键时刻阐述发展中美关系的原则立场,指导中国在外交方面与美方进行了坚决斗争,推动双方谈判达成《八一七公报》,并在谈判期间发挥了关键性作用。《八一七公报》为稳定中美关系发挥了积极作用,为20世纪80年代中后期中美关系的健康发展创造了条件,体现出邓小平勇于斗争、敢于胜利,坚持原则的坚定性和策略的灵活性相统一的鲜明风格和特点。这一历史经验对当前中美关系以及国际形势的应对具有重要借鉴意义。In the early 1980s,the development of Sino-U.S.relations was not smooth due to factors such as the unresolved issue of establishing diplomatic relations between China and the United States,the enactment of the Taiwan Relations Act by the United States,and election politics of the United States.Faced with the escalating issue of US arms sales to Taiwan and its negative impact,Deng Xiaoping staked out the principles of developing Sino-U.S.relations at a critical moment,leading China to launch a diplomatic struggle against the United States,promoted negotiations between the two sides to reach the August 17th Communique,and played a crucial role during the negotiations.The August 17th Communique played a positive role in stabilizing Sino-U.S.relations and created conditions for the healthy development of Sino-U.S.relations in the mid to late 1980s.It reflects Deng Xiaoping’s distinctive style and characteristics of daring to struggle and win,adhering to the firmness of principles and the flexibility of strategies.This historical experience has important reference significance for the current Sino-U.S.relations and coping with the international situation.
