摘 要:将无害化处理后的市政污泥作为造纸填料替代纤维应用于纸基材料可以有效缓解木质原材料的紧张状况,但是这种纸基材料机械性能较差。为解决这一问题,本研究采用不同含量的阳离子淀粉、玉米淀粉和马铃薯淀粉对市政污泥进行包覆改性,并测试了用此包覆污泥作为填料制备的纸基材料的机械性能,分析比较了纯纤维、添加包覆填料和未包覆填料纸基材料的化学组分、微观形貌和热稳定性能,探索了阳离子淀粉的包覆机理以及纸基材料力学性能增强机制。结果表明,阳离子淀粉添加量为2.5%时,对污泥包覆改性效果最佳,由其制备的纸板材料的性能最优:填料留着率为79.58%,与未包覆试样相比提高了66.76%;抗张指数为8.99 N·m·g^(-1),比纯纤维试样高42.25%、比未包覆试样高45.71%。这是由于淀粉包覆可以促进污泥填料表面与纤维之间形成更多的氢键,从而增加了填料的留着率,增强了材料的机械性能和热稳定性能。污泥基填料经淀粉包覆改性后,可用于制备高留着、高性能的纸板材料,研究结果为将市政污泥作为新型造纸填料的开发利用提供理论与技术支持,开拓了造纸行业低碳循环发展的新途径。The harmless municipal sludge has been used as a paper filler to replace fibers in paper-based materials,which is an efficient way to mitigate the wood shortage.However,this paper-based material with the addition of municipal sludge has poor mechanical properties.To solve this problem,the coating effect of different starch,such as cationic starch,corn starch,and potato starch on municipal sludge was investigated,as well as the mechanical properties of the paper-based material.Subsequently,the morphology,thermal stability and chemical composition of paper-based materials prepared by pure fibers,coated fillers and noncoated fillers were studied.Moreover,the coating mechanism of cationic starch and its enhancement mechanism to the mechanical properties of paper-based materials were explored.As a result,2.5%coating amount of cationic starch obtained the best performance,with the retention rate of 79.58%and the tensile index of 8.99 N·m·g^(-1),representing an improvement of 66.76%and 45.71%over the non-coated sample,respectively.The tensile index was 42.25%higher than that of pure fiber samples.These improvements were attributed to the promotion of hydrogen bond formation between fillers and fibers by the starch coatings.It also improved the mechanical properties and thermal stability of the material,as well as the retention rate of fillers.Therefore,the high-retention and high-performance paperboard material could be prepared with municipal sludge fillers with starch coatings.These findings provide theoretical and technical support for the utilization of municipal sludge as a novel paper filler,promoting the development of low-carbon cycles in the paper industry.
