摘　　要：他一生写下了数百万字,140余篇(部)科学论著,为发展地球科学做了许多开创性的工作;他创建的地质力学,创造性地将地质学和力学结合在一起,提出构造体系新概念,为研究地壳构造和地壳运动、地质工作开辟了新途径;他是大地赤子,是摘掉“中国贫油”帽子的关键人物,他就是我国现代地球科学和地质工作奠基人--李四光。In 1889,Li Siguang was born in Huanggang,Hubei Province.In 1904,he went to Japan to study shipbuilding.In 1913,he went to the University of Birmingham in England to study mining and one year later 1)switched to geology.In 1923,he proposed the method of 2)identifying the family Petaluridae and identifying a large number of fossils 3)specimens,which contributed to his first scientific masterpiece Petaluridae of Northern China,making him a world-famous paleontological geologist.
