“他者”消失之后——论《耶稣的童年》的反模仿性

摘　　要：约翰·库切的《耶稣的童年》被评论界公认为是一部怪异、费解的作品。小说内涵丰富,其语言、情节的简单与寓意的复杂形成了强烈的反差。小说的故事世界叛离现实经验的世界,呈现出强烈的不真实感。有鉴于此,本文将聚焦小说中空间、人物和事件的反模仿性,并分别从诺维拉城市空间、生活在诺维拉的移民群体和大卫的“新生活”经历三方面展开论述。本文认为小说表达了库切对一个他者消失的移民世界的文学想象和预言,通过摹绘这个世界的反模仿性,库切进一步抒发了他对西方世界对待移民,尤其是来自不发达地区移民的社会态度和政治策略的批判。Coetzee's The Childhood of Jesus is recognized as a bizarre and philosophical novel.The simplicity of language and plot is sharply contrasted with its allegoric complication.The story-world is not magically anti-mimetic,though it is one step away from the real world.Therefore,this paper,by focusing on the anti-mimetic of the space,characters and events in the fiction,will illustrate the city space of Novilla,the immigrants living there and David's“new life”experience.The paper argues that the fiction presents Coetzee's literary imagination and prediction of an immigrant world in which the Other has been expulsed.By delineating the anti-mimetic features of the world,Coetzee further expresses his critique on contemporary social attitudes and political tactics in the Western world towards the immigrants,especially those coming from the underdeveloped countries.
