摘　　要：新中国成立初期,湖南成为社会主义建设的重点区域。此时部分厂矿的职工福利事业存在职工生活水平低、食堂伙食条件差、职业病严重、安全事故多发、文化技术水平不高等问题,严重影响厂矿生产和国家工业化建设。党和政府高度重视上述问题,随即通过合理调整职工工资、积极改善职工伙食、开展职工职业病防治、改善职工生活环境、加强职工劳动保护、开展职工扫盲运动、加强职工思想政治教育等措施,有力推进了厂矿职工福利事业,并取得显著成效。In the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China,Hunan became a key area for socialist construction.Back then,there existed such problems in the welfare of workers in some factories and mines as low living standards,poor food in canteens,serious occupational diseases,frequent occurrence of accidents,and workers'low cultural and technical level,which seriously affected the production of factories and mines and the country's industrialization.The party and the government attached great importance to the above-mentioned problems,and immediately promoted the welfare of workers in factories and mines through such measures as reasonably adjusting the wages of workers,actively improving workers'diet,carrying out the prevention and treatment of workers'occupational diseases,improving workers'living environment,strengthening workers'labor protection,carrying out literacy campaigns,and strengthening ideological and political education among workers.Expectedly,remarkable achievements were achieved.
