Objective:To explore the serial mediating roles of health behavior self efficacy and physical activity in the influence of digital media on health behaviors. Methods:A survey was conducted on a total of 900 college students from three provinces,Jiangxi,Anhui, and Yunnan, each selecting one undergraduate institution. The survey utilized the Digital Media Scale,Health Behavior Scale,Health Behavior Self Efficacy Scale, and Physical Activity Scale.Results:①Digital media has a positive predictive effect on health behaviors.②Both health behavior self efficacy and physical activity serve as individual mediators in the influence of digital media on health behaviors.③Health behavior self efficacy and physical activity exert serial mediating effects in the impact of digital media on college students’health behaviors. Conclusion:Digital media can directly affect the health behavior of college students, which can positively predict the health behavior of college students through the mediation effect of health behavior self efficacy or physical activity,or through the chain mediation effect of both.
