Novel Interpretation of Official Documentary Travel Notes:The Rewriting and Dissemination of Diary of An Envoy to Britain in the Context of Periodical Serialization

摘　　要：《京话演说振贝子英轺日记》系改写载振使团《英轺日记》而来,并连载于《绣像小说》。《京话日记》的改写与期刊的政治主张及其取材于新闻的传统密切相关,并在期刊的重新塑形中赋予载振其人其书以新的传播意义,反哺改良思潮的民间流布;通过变革文体,《京话日记》既主于叙事,成为精炼可鉴的西情要略之范本,又语采京话、体兼说部,还配以“绣像”,顺应白话潮流,探索出在受众导向下达成开发民智目标的传播策略和方法;“群文”视角下的期刊生态呈现出三大文类体系,发挥着“掊击——讽劝——镜鉴”的文体效用,寄寓着《绣像小说》对“暴露”与“疗救”并举的理想传播效果的期待。Zai Zhen's Diary as Envoy to Britain in Beijing Dialect is a rewritten version of Diary of an Envoy to Britain serialized in Xiuxiang Novel,a periodical journal.The rewriting is closely linked to the political opinions of the journal and its tradition of incorporating news.The journal's reshaping of the diary bestows new communicative significance on Zai Zhen and his works,promoting the spread of reform ideas.By transforming its style,Zai Zhen's Diary as Envoy to Britain in Beijing Dialect focuses not only on narratives but also becomes a model for refined Western knowledge.It adopts the Beijing dialect and the imitation novel genre,includes illustrations,aligns with the vernacular trend,and explores an audience-oriented communication strategy to enlighten the public.From the perspective of"group literature,"the journal ecology presents three major literary genre systems,exerting the stylistic effects of"criticism,persuasion,and reference."It embodies the ideal dissemination effects of"exposure"and"healing"as anticipated in Xiuxiang Novel.
