摘　　要：托马斯·沃尔夫的处女作《天使,望故乡》是一部具有强烈自传色彩的长篇小说,其独特的叙事手法表达了沃尔夫对个体经验的反思性回顾和对精神世界的执着探索。小说采用自由灵活的第三人称全知叙事视角,以小镇青年的个体故事折射20世纪初美国社会境况,形成了现实主义和浪漫主义兼蓄的风格,与作者的责任意识、抒情化的语言风格、生动的人物塑造、“永恒时间”的哲思相呼应。在自我回忆的语言行为上,《天使,望故乡》多处存在“二我差”现象,呈现出强烈的美学张力,具有真切动人的艺术感染力。Thomas Wolfe’s first work Look Homeward,Angel is a strongly autobiographical full-length novel,and its distinctive narrative technique conveys Wolfe’s reflective review of individual experience and persistent exploration of the spiritual world.The novel adopts a free and flexible third-person omniscient nar-rative perspective,which reflects the American social situation in the early 20th century through the individu-al stories of small-town youth,forming both realism and romanticism styles,echoing the sense of writer’s re-sponsibility,lyrical language style,vivid characterization and the philosophy of“eternal time”.In the para-graphs of reminiscences in Look Homeward,Angel,“self-differentiation”phenomenon is frequent,present-ing a strong aesthetic tension and creating a real moving artistic appeal.
