摘　　要：On June 24,the icebreaker survey ship“Polar”,built by CSSC GSI for the Beihai Bureau of the Ministry of Natural Resources,was delivered in Guangzhou.The ship as a newgeneration polar scientific survey one independently designed and built in China will mainly serve the purpose of improving capability of maritime disaster prevention and mitigation,further enrich the ice area research system in China,boost comprehensive observation and survey task in polar ocean,sea ice,atmospheric and other environment,and take a major step in the direction of serialization and diversification.
