合则两利:翁文灏与1940—1945年的中美经贸合作

摘　　要：翁文灏是1940—1945年间中美经贸合作中方的主持人之一,无论是美国对华借款业务的经办,还是对美偿债矿品相关事宜的办理,及接收美国租华物资的准备工作,他多能做到在维护中国利益的前提下兼顾美方利益。由于美国是全面抗战后期主要援华国,所以翁文灏尽力做好中美两国的钨、锡等矿品贸易,悉心做好接收美国援华租借物资的准备工作,为1940—1945年的中美经贸合作和抗战的胜利作出了贡献。中美在此五年间的经贸合作有益于反法西斯战争,证明了两国合则两利的事实。Weng Wenhao was one of the key Chinese figures overseeing China-U.S.economic and trade cooperation from 1940 to 1945.He played a crucial role in managing American loans to China,facilitating debt repayment with mineral products to the United States,and preparing for the receipt of American Lend-Lease supplies.In all these activities,Weng consistently balanced the interests of both China and the United States,always prioritizing China’s needs while considering those of the U.S.Given that the United States was the main ally in the late stage of the War of Resistance against Japan,Weng Wenhao devoted significant effort to ensuring the smooth trade of tungsten,tin,and other minerals between China and the United States,and meticulously prepared for receiving American aid supplies.His contribution was instrumental in the success of China-US economic and trade cooperation between 1940 and 1945 and the victory in the War of Resistance against Japan.The China-US economic and trade cooperation during this period proved beneficial to the global fight against fascism,demonstrating the mutual benefits of their collaboration.
