摘　　要：扎迪·史密斯的处女作《白牙》以众多小故事的形式探讨人物家庭的历史与根源,展现了多元文化小说中的历史意识,揭示了移民家庭的族裔身份,审视了英国殖民者与被殖民者的殖民地背景。小说中这段殖民和种族历史与家庭和个人的关联,显示出家族的历史与根源对英国移民和多种族家庭的影响。由此可见,在当代英国移民小说的研究中,讨论移民和多种族家庭及其后代探寻家族身份与历史背景,构建个人身份和文化认同,具有相当重要的历史意义和现实价值。White Teeth,the first novel of Zadie Smith,explores the history and roots of immigrant families by means of a lot of family stories,reveals some historical consciousness in multi-cultural novels,discloses the ethnic identity of immigrant families,and examines the colonial background of the colonized and British colonizers.The colonial and racial history is related to the immigrants and their families in the novel,which proves the influence of the family history and root on British immigrant and multi-ethnic families,so it can be seen that there is a considerable significance of history and reality in looking for the family identity and historical background through immigrant families and their descendants,and constructing personal and cultural identities in the study of the contemporary British literature of immigrants.
