河北省“蔚县”及其附近地区古地名考证

摘　　要：从古文字角度深入释读地名内涵,不失为一种新的思路与方法。考证认为蔚县是承袭蔚州而来,“蔚”究其本义为一种马先蒿的草本植物,因其成活率高,表现出郁郁葱葱的景象,故用“蔚”表达土壤肥沃,易于植被生长的含义。桑干河,即古治水、㶟水,因源出雷头山命名为㶟水,桑干本为有桑树的河,以此便可看出整个流域内适宜桑树生长的地理环境。壶流河,即古祁夷水,意为平而阔的河流,后因河道变迁,呈上狭下阔的葫芦形,改为今名。Deeply interpreting the connotation of place names from the perspective of ancient writing is a new approach and method.Yuxian(蔚县)inherited from Yuzhou(蔚州),The original meaning of'Yu'is a herbaceous plant of pedicularis(马先蒿),Because of its high survival rate,it shows a lush scene,and uses the name"Yu"to express the intention of fertile soil and easy vegetation growth.Sanggan River(桑干河),namely ancient water control and Lei Shui(㶟水),was named Lei Shui because it originated from Leitou Mountain(雷头山).Sanggan River was originally a river with mulberry trees,so it can be seen that the geographical environment suitable for the growth of mulberry trees in the whole basin.The Huliu River(壶流河),formerly known as the Qiyi Shui(祁夷水)means a flat and wide river.Due to the change of the river channel into a narrow upper and wide lower gourd shape,it was later renamed as the Huliu River,and was renamed today.
