摘　　要：中小型石窟数量多、分布广,长久以来社会关注度较低,基础研究和保护工作相对滞后,导致这类石窟基础研究缺失,价值挖掘不足,保护工作欠缺,大多中小型石窟面临环境侵蚀、生物破坏、安全风险等突出问题。安岳石窟属于典型的区域性中小型石窟群,通过系统梳理安岳石窟的基础研究和保护现状,分析出中小型石窟当前面临着价值和保护研究缺乏、石窟安全等突出问题,亟需加强价值和保护研究基础工作,开展必要的文物安全保护和文物本体保护工作。As the witness of the exchange between Chinese and Western civilizations and a carrier of significant historical and cultural information,grottoes are important cultural resources in China.According to the nationwide specific survey of grottoes,there are 5986 sites of grottoes in China,among which the small and medium sized grottoes make up about 95.19% of the total.With a large quantity and scattered distribution,small and medium sized grottoes in China lack social concerns for a long time,resulting in the insufficiency of fundamental research and value exploration as well as the lack of conservation and administration of them,as the majority of the small and medium sized grottoes are at the risks of environmental erosion,biological damage and insecurity.The abundance of small and medium sized grottoes and cliff carvings in Anyue County of Sichuan Province are typical examples.On the basis of the conservation and research status quo of Anyue grottoes,we point out outstanding issues as mentioned above,and put forth specific suggestions correspondingly for the conservation and study of small and medium sized grottoes.
