On Milei’s Public Relations in the Argentine Presidential Election

摘  要:公关的根本特征在于主体和客体之间的联系,但是在具体运作中,公关也会有不同的表现形式。2023年11月,哈维尔·米莱成功当选新一届阿根廷总统,在总统选举中,米莱“非主流”风格的选举公关是十分成功的,主要表现为一种特殊的宣传行为,如通过发表激进极端言论、借助网络新媒体、表现出简单直白且亲民的风格等,其选举公关的背后逻辑是:善于利用时代背景、自身知名度优势及阿根廷民众“求变”且“反建制”的心理,建构出对他的认同,最终赢得选举的胜利。The fundamental characteristic of public relations lies in the connection between the subject and the object.In practice,however,public relations can also take on different forms of expression.In November 2023,Javier Milei was elected as the new president of Argentina.During the election,his“non-mainstream”election style was successful,which was primarily manifested as a kind of unique propaganda involving making radical and extreme statements,utilizing the Internet and new media platforms,and exhibiting a straightforward and approachable demeanor.The underlying logic of his electoral public relations is to skillfully leverage the historical context,the advantage of his reputation,and the Argentine public’s desire for“change”and“anti-establishment”,thereby he constructing a sense of identification with himself and ultimately securing victory in the election.
