摘　　要：A ccording to the Gallup World Poll for the World Happiness Report 2024,America has fallen out of the top 2o happiest countries for the first time.This is not surprising considering the rising costs of living,a daily barrage of unsettling news reports and the lingering effects of loneliness from the pandemic.Social media has replaced much-needed in-person interactions and often creates a feeling of missing out.And,while most of corporate America has returned to the office,we still find ourselves spending a disproportionate amount of time at our desks on Zoom calls,as opposed to gathering in a conference room.根据盖洛普世界民意调查所做的《2024年世界幸福报告》,美国首次跌出了最幸福国家的前20名考虑到不断攀升的生活成本、每天一连串令人不安的新闻报道以及之前疫情带来的挥之不去的孤独感,有这种结果也不足为奇。社交媒体取代了人们很需要的面对面交流,常常让人产生一种被遗忘的感觉。而且虽然美国的大多数企业已经让员工回到了办公室上班,但我们仍然在自己的办公桌前花太多时间在Zoom视频会议上,而不是在会议室里开会。
