To study the influence law of surface morphology of work pieces and water content in soil on adhesion of clayey soil, specimens with different surface roughness are prepared by surface sandblasting treatment, and soil with water content is prepared according to geotechnical test standards. It is found from the analysis of the adhesion of soil-metal interface contact system that, for surfaces with different roughness, the adhesion shows a trend of decrease first and then increase with the increase of water content in soil, and then experiences a stable fluctuation range followed by a sharp decline. When the plastic limit of soil W_(P)<29.25%,the adhesion shows a trend of increase first and then decrease with the increase of roughness. When the plastic limit of soil W_(L)>63.27%,the adhesion shows a trend of gradual decrease with the increase of roughness. The analysis suggests that the interface contact area and water film are the main reasons for adhesion changes, and there is a reasonable matching range between roughness and water content. The research results provide a theoretical and application basis for the research of adhesion reduction in barrel drills of rotary drilling rigs, cutter heads of shields and bucket teeth of excavators.
