“儒教”空间视角下的汤岛圣堂研究

摘  要:虽然“儒教”是否为宗教尚有争论,但其作为一种社会事实,的确表现出“祭教一致”的特征,呈现出独特的存在方式。从实证性视角出发解读作为历史现象的“儒教”,其典型表现为建立庙学或书院等机构、形成“庙学合一”布局、发挥祭祀与教育功能。儒学的海外传播带动了“儒教”空间的布局与结构移植域外,在延续原生“儒教”祭祀传统与教育功能的同时,又形成适应当地需求的表达形态。以“庙学合一”为主线,汤岛圣堂在文脉特征、仪式功能、人才选拔、圣贤信仰等方面展现了“儒教”实践的具象,并在祭教关系的张力中完成了其在地化。Although there are still debates over whether“Confucianism”is a religion,“Confucianism”,as a social fact,does demonstrate the characteristic of“the unity of worship and education(祭教一致)”and presents a unique existence mode.Considering Confucianism as a historical phenomenon from the empirical perspective,its typical manifestations include the establishment of institutions,such as Confucian temple schools or academies and so on,forming the layout of“the integration of temple and school(庙学合一)”and the functions of sacrifice and education.The oversea spread of Confucian studies brought the transplantation of the layout and structure of“Confucianism”space,which continued the worship tradition and educational function of the original“Confucianism”while also appeared some localized expression.Taking the“the integration of temple and school”as the leading clue,Yushima Seido demonstrates the concretization of practice in Confucianism in terms of contextual features,ritual functions,officials’selection and belief in sages,and completed its localization in the tension of the relationship between worship and education.
