“纪善不纪恶”传统下的清代四川通志女性历史人物书写——以前蜀花蕊夫人为例

摘　　要：方志编纂的“纪善不纪恶”传统,是指在书写风俗、历史人物、社会现象、重大事件等内容时往往会屏蔽掉负面信息,只保留符合纲常伦理和满足地方利益的部分。在这一传统影响下,历史人物前蜀花蕊夫人被选取作为两部清代《四川通志》的书写对象,书写的最终结果却偏离了其历史的本相。该书写呈现出三点基本特征,涉及诸多问题,值得关注。书写是复杂的方志编纂现象,可视作地方长官、纂修人员、方志传统三者围绕女性历史人物密切互动的结果,也是官方因应“纪善不纪恶”传统的重要地方治理措施。“纪善不纪恶”传统下的明清方志书写,有着继续深入探讨的空间及价值。The tradition of“recording the virtuous other than the evil”in local records compilation refers to the practice of frequently blocking negative information and retaining parts which conforms to social conduct codes and satisfies local interests,when compilers are compiling contents on customs,historical figures,social phenomena,and major events.Under the influence of this tradition,the historical figure of Madame Pistil of Former Shu was selected as the writing subject of two sets of Ming Dynasty Sichuan General Records,the end result of which,however,deviated from the original story of history.These writings presented three basic features,touched upon many issues,and needed much of our attention.The writing,as a complex local records compiling activity,can be seen involving close interactions among local chiefs,compilers,and local records compilation tradition surrounding a woman historical figure.It was also an important local governance measure reflecting the official response to the tradition of“recording the virtuous other than the evil”.Ming and Qing Dynasty officially compiled local records writings under the influence of“recording the virtuous other than the evil”have much space and value for further in-depth discussions.
