摘　　要：At the Cangju temple in Huanglian village, Foshan, Guangdong province, locals often come to worship the legendary creators of Chinese characters, Cang Jie and Ju Song, and pray for their children’s wit and intelligence. Many first-graders also participate in a traditional “First Writing Ceremony” here before officially starting school.
