In response to the shortcomings of traditional overhead line defect detection methods, this paper proposes a defect detection and localization method for overhead lines based on second-generation wavelet transform technology and bidirectional pulse interaction.Through the second-generation wavelet transform technology, the interference of original noise signals on signal processing and analysis is overcome, greatly improving the detection efficiency. The bidirectional pulse interaction technology can accurately locate the location of defects by using the polarity of the pulses in the bilateral signals, greatly improving the accuracy of defect localization. This method has a simple principle, easy implementation, and high promotion prospects, providing a strong guarantee for further improving power supply reliability and enhancing the people's sense of"gain"and"happiness"in electricity use.
