摘　　要：This research delves into the English translation of political metaphors with Chinese characteristics from the Government Work Report.It investigates the strategies for translating these metaphors,considering the cultural and linguistic nuances necessary for effective cross-cultural transmission.The study uses intercultural communication and cognitive linguistic theories to categorize metaphors and explore translation strategies like cultural compensation,borrowing,substitution,and omission,to guide the accurate and nuanced rendering of Chinese political metaphors.
