国际修辞学研究的发展趋势与拓新路径——《劳特里奇语言与说服手册》介评

摘　　要：语言与说服是修辞学关注的一大焦点。当前国际修辞学界对此焦点的研究出现了何种新转向、新进展?《劳特里奇语言与说服手册》为我们提供了答案。该手册立足于当代言说环境,借鉴语用论辩学、认知语义学、政治社会学等的相关原理来拓展经典修辞范畴的意涵,并且展示了修辞学研究的新方法、新工具,如论证挖掘与Docuscope文本分析技术。通过梳理该手册各章的研究内容,本文发现,该手册主要彰显了不失修辞学本位的跨学科性、经典修辞范畴研究的当代性,以及所选论题和研究方法的前瞻性。这些特色反映了国际修辞学研究的发展趋势和拓新路径,对当前我国修辞学研究具有重要的启发意义。How language works on persuasion has been a major concern of global rhetoric.As for the current studies of this focus,The Routledge Handbook of Language and Persuasion gives us some directions on the new turns and development.This marvelous collection is published to cope with the contemporary issues of speech,aiming at enriching the intensions of classic rhetorical categories by absorbing certain theories from pragma-dialectics,cognitive semantics,political sociology,etc.,and employing new research methods and tools,such as Argument Mining and DocuScope.Based upon the main content of each chapter,the review concludes that this handbook demonstrates the features of rhetoric-centered interdisciplinarity,updated interpretations of rhetorical categories,as well as cutting-edge topics and methods.These features,or the trend and innovations in global rhetoric,are expected to enlighten rhetorical studies in China.
