如何书写,何以重写——一个《重写秦汉史》掉队者的检讨书

摘　　要：二十一世纪初,是青年学者根据出土文献重写秦汉史的时代。想要根据出土文献重写秦汉史,除了充分省思出土文献与传世文献的复杂关系,还需要做到三点:书写内容的更新、书写思维的改易、书写结构的变革。陈侃理主编的《重写秦汉史》共九章,《律令法系》《徭役制度》《军事制度》《政区地理》《时间秩序》《信仰世界》诸章的书写内容无疑都有所更新,书写思维也都有所改易,而《文字发展》《文书行政》《里耶秦简》三章还可见到书写结构变革的尝试。此外原有一章程少轩的《数术文献》,由于新的数术简牍即将刊布,暂时不克出版,反映出重写秦汉史成也材料、败也材料的限制。至于作者自己的《地方行政》一章,则缘于种种内外因素,未能及时交稿。此外,出土文献研究不只是碎片化,亦可能具有“普适性”,这无疑是根据出土文献重写秦汉史的关键基础。The early twenty-first century marked an era when young scholars began rewriting the history of the Qin and Han dynasties based on newly unearthed documents.To successfully undertake such a task,one must not only carefully reflect on the complex relationship between unearthed and transmitted texts but also accomplish three things:update the content of the writing,shift the thinking behind the writing,and reform the structure of the writing.Rewriting the History of the Qin and Han Dynasties,edited by Chen Kanli,consists of nine chapters.Chapters such as“Legal System,”“Corv e Labor System,”“Military System,”“Administrative Divisions and Geography,”“Chronological Order,”and“World of Beliefs”all clearly feature updated content and shifts in thinking.Additionally,structural reform can be seen in the chapters on“Development of Writing,”“Documentary Administration,”and“Qin Slips from Liye.”Moreover,a planned chapter by Cheng Shaoxuan on“Numerological Texts”was temporarily withheld from publication due to the impending release of new numerological bamboo slips,highlighting the paradox that the success or failure of rewriting history is contingent on the availability of source materials.As for my own chapter on“Local Administration,”due to various internal and external factors,it was not submitted in time.Furthermore,research on unearthed documents is not merely fragmentary but may also have“universal significance,”which undoubtedly serves as a critical foundation for rewriting the history of the Qin and Han dynasties based on these materials.
