摘　　要：《欧洲文学史》是周作人在北京大学教书期间(1917-1918)编撰的教材讲义,也是国内首部外国文学史。该书在译名方式、编撰意图、文学史编撰的客观性以及文学史观上,都体现了显著的编撰特色。作为具有这些特色的第一部国内外国文学史奠定了我国此后外国文学史的编写基础,对我国外国文学史的编撰具有重要启示。The History of European Literature,compiled by Zhou Zuoren during his tenure at Peking University(1917-1918),is recognized as China’s first comprehensive history of foreign literature.The textbook stands out for its distinctive features in translation,compilation intent,objectivity,and historical perspective.As the pioneering work in domestic foreign literature history,it established a foundational approach for subsequent compilations of foreign literature in China.This work provides significant insights and serves as a critical reference for the development of foreign literature studies in China.
