Neospora canninum is a protozoan parasite that parasitizes in animal cells and can cause neosporosis. The clinical manifestations of the disease are reproductive disorders in cows, leading to abortion or stillbirth, which seriously affects the normal development of the breeding industry.N.caninum is widely distributed all over the world. However, due to the mechanism of interaction between N.caninum infection and host has not been elucidated, specific drugs and commercial vaccines have not been developed.Studies have shown that the role of the host's natural immunity in resisting N.caninum infection cannot be ignored in the process of the parasite invading the host. This article mainly describes the effect of N.caninum invasion on the immune regulation of host cells and the role of exosomes secreted by parasites in the process of N.caninum invasion. It provides new ideas for in-depth understanding of the pathogenic mechanism of N.caninum and the prevention and treatment of N.caninum infection.
