摘 要:口腔毛滴虫是寄生于人和动物口腔中的一种人兽共患鞭毛原虫,与人和动物牙周病密切相关,而牙周病是人和动物最常见的炎症性疾病之一。口腔毛滴虫可对哺乳动物细胞造成损伤并分泌半胱氨酸等毒性蛋白,但该虫的致病性尚未完全清楚。近年来,全球人和犬等动物口腔毛滴虫的流行报道日益增多,做好该虫的流行病学调查及阐明其致病机理对于有效控制和预防牙周病至关重要。论文全面回顾了口腔毛滴虫的历史、病原形态、致病性、流行病学、诊断、控制和预防等方面的进展,以期引起专家和公众对这一长期被忽视的人兽共患原虫的关注。未来需要对不同宿主的口腔毛滴虫感染进行更多的流行病学和临床研究,以便更好地了解其致病性,进而开发有效药物控制该原虫,减少全球牙周病的流行。Trichomonas tenax is a flagellated zoonotic protozoan identified in the oral cavities of humans and animals,and has been associated with periodontal disease,which is the most prevalent inflammatory disease affecting humans and animals in the world.T.tenax can cause damage to mammalian cells and secretes virulent proteins,such as cysteine,but the pathogenicity of this oral protozoan still remains unclear.Because of its increasing prevalence in both humans and dogs in the world,detecting and elucidating the pathogenicity of this protozoan is very important for effective global control and prevention of periodontal disease.Here,we comprehensively review the history,morphology,pathogenicity,prevalence,diagnosis,control and prevention of T.tenax,and hopefully this article will draw attention to both medical and veterinary experts and the public on this neglected zoonotic parasite.In the future,more epidemiological and clinical studies need to be done on T.tenax to gain a better understanding of its pathogenicity,develop effective drugs to control this oral parasite,and reduce the spread of periodontal disease worldwide.
