摘　　要：Korean Air’s acquisition of Asiana coincides with a period of significant transformations in the global political and economic landscape amidst the pandemic.This merger case underwent antitrust reviews in 15 jurisdictions,setting an unprecedented record in the history of global civil aviation industry.This paper examines the development and characteristics of the Korean air transport market,compiles the outcomes of 14 completed antitrust reviews,and primarily focuses on analysing five conditional approvals to assess deficiencies in airline merger control best practices and anticipate trends towards convergence in aviation antitrust regulation.This case is poised to become a landmark decision with far-reaching implications for cross-border mergers and acquisitions within the international air transportation.
