铜铁合金带材起皮原因解析

摘  要:采用SEM、EDS、ICP-OES等方法研究了Cu-Fe合金带材表面起皮的成因和改善措施。结果表明,起皮现象以零星点状或成片形式存在,呈不规则状,起皮处有明显的凹陷迹象。Fe含量越高,起皮越严重。结合起皮处和Cu基体的SEM和EDS结果可知,导致起皮的原因是起皮处存在大量的O。O在Cu中的固溶度比较低,主要以Cu 2O的形式溶解于Cu及其合金中。凝固时,O与Cu生成Cu 2O脆性相,并形成低熔点的Cu-Cu 2O共晶组织分布在晶界处。在热轧和冷轧过程中,Cu-Cu 2O共晶组织将从Cu基体脱离,形成带材表面的起皮。为了改善Cu-Fe带材表面的起皮情况,需要控制铜液中的O含量,在日常工作中应做好熔体保护,在熔炼炉和结晶器上覆盖多重覆盖剂,并向熔炼炉内部吹入一定量的氩气进行气体保护,能够有效避免铜铁合金带材出现起皮现象。Via the SEM,EDS,ICP-OES and other methods,the causes and countermeasures for peeling defects of Cu-Fe alloy strips were studied.The results show that the distribution of peeling defects is scattered or in patches,and the peeling defects are irregular with the obvious signs of indentation at the peeling site.The higher the Fe content,the more severe the peeling defects.Integrating the SEM with EDS results of the peeling defects and Cu matrix,it can be concluded that the reason of peeling is the presence of a large amount of O element at the peeling defects.The solid solubility of oxygen in copper is relatively low,which is mainly dissolved in copper and its alloy in the form of Cu 2O.During solidification,Cu 2O brittle phase is formed of oxygen and copper,and Cu-Cu 2O eutectic structure with a low melting point is distributed around the grain boundary.In the process of hot and cold rolling,the Cu-Cu 2O eutectic structure will be detached from the copper matrix to form the peeling defects on the strip surface.In order to improve the peeling defects of Cu-Fe strip,it is necessary to control the content of O content in the copper liquid.In daily work,it is necessary to protect the melt,such as covering the melting furnace and crystallizer with multiple capping agent,combined with blowing a certain amount of argon gas into the melting furnace for gas protection.It could effectively avoid the appearance of peeling defect in Cu-Fe alloy strips.
