华洋义赈会合作运动改进农村风俗之考察

摘　　要：近代以来,中国农村社会日益凋敝,华洋义赈会在各地倡办合作运动,挽救农村破产经济的同时,还重视对农村社会风俗的改良,以期达到物质增进及精神陶冶并重的效果。在合作运动中,华洋义赈会主要发挥宣传和引导作用,通过严格社员选拔与社务考核、以《合作讯》作移风易俗宣传、倡办社务扩大周等方式推动各地合作社革除不良习俗、举办公益事业。各地合作社则在华洋义赈会的指导下,开展了具体的移风易俗实践,对农村中存在的好赌、争讼、婚丧靡费等不良习俗进行了改革,使农村社会风貌得到一定改观,对中国农村传统社会向现代社会转变亦有所助益。Since modern times,China's rural society has become more and more desolate,and the China International Famine Relief Commission has initiated cooperative movements in various places to save the rural bankrupt economy,while paying attention to the improvement of rural social customs,so as to achieve the effect of both material improvement and spiritual cultivation.The association plays the role of publicity and guidance,and promotes local cooperatives to get rid of old bad customs and organize various public welfare undertakings by strictly assessing the members and social affairs of cooperatives,using the“Cooperation News”as the propaganda,and advocating the holding of social affairs expansion week.Local cooperatives carry out specific practices to change customs and customs,take cooperative undertakings as the starting point of each business,take cooperatives as the central organ of rural reform,and reform the prominent bad customs in rural areas,such as gambling,litigation,marriage and funeral expenses,so as to change the face of rural society,it is helpful to the transformation of traditional Chinese rural society into modern society.
