Co-renting is a practical choice for young people looking for housing in urban areas today, but it also leads to contradictions and conflicts, behind this phenomenton is the impact of boundaries on corenting relationship.Taking“boundary”as a perspective, based on the in-depth interviews with 16 interviewees and the observation of the online groups, the study finds that co-renters expect a boundary relationship of not disturbing each other and keeping a distance. However, this co-renting boundary in real life is easily breached, and then conflicts are formed due to the aggravation of trivial matters in daily life.Co-renters need a renegotiation of boundaries. The study may provide some empirical references for future research on youth living arrangements.
